Gate Valve
Cast carbon Steel Gate Valve, O.S & Y Type, Rising Spindle, Bolted Bonnet, Hand Wheel Operated, Flanged End to ANSI 150, Body, Bonnet as per ASTM A 216 Gr. WCB, 13% Cr. Steel Working Parts, AISI 410 Spindle, High tensile Studs & Nuts, Spiral Wound S.S. 304 Graphoil Filled Gasket, Graphoil Gland Packing, Valves as per API 600 & Tested to API 598.
Gate valves are of generally two types- Rising stem and non rising stem gate valve. Rising stem gate valves have the threads external to the valve body. You can see the valve stem is moving up when the valve is opening. In this way, you can visually keep track of how far the valve is open. Non-rising stem gate valves have threads that lift the gates are exposed to the fluid being controlled by the valve.
